Automatic Blowdown System™ (ABS)
TubeMaster Inc.’s Automatic Blowdown System™ (ABS) provides superior dust blowing equipment and software for the catalyst reactor industry.
Using the patented TubeMaster® System Automatic Blowdown System (ABS), each ABS can blow down 10 tubes at once. Using multiple devices permits dust-blowing of 10, 20,
30, 40, 50, 60,
70, 80, 90, + or more tubes at once. For clients that use foam pigs (small cubes or spheres of foam used to wipe the inside of each tube along its vertical length), the ABS can also be used to push ten foam pigs down and out of each tube, saving more time.
Each ABS is used to blowdown 10 tubes-at-a-time. The ABS is computer controlled and custom programmed to seal 10 tubes, control a large capacity air or gas valve to introduce a high volume of air or gas into each of ten tubes. The computer can be set to purge once, twice or for as many times needed and for purge durations as specified by the client. Our inflating tube seal boot design permits the ABS to engage into each tube, below the tubesheet, and hold back 100+psig (7+ bar) on top of the catalyst thus resulting in maximum blowdown of dust in each tube.
| ABS ensures that each tube is blown down at uniformly at desired flow rates, such that pressure-drop testing can proceed with a minimal number of tubes failing high because of dust. |
The ABS computer is programmed for all dust
blowing operations. The ABS device cannot be removed prematurely thus causing the catalyst in the top portion of the tube to fluff, loosing its outage and in the worst case, ejecting catalyst out of the tube onto the tubesheet. |
For High Speed Pig Blowing, ABS is used with TubeMaster, Inc.’s Manifold-Master™, a regulated manifold provides superior air (or gas) pressure regulation for pressure-drop testing.
