Outage Loading Equipment™ (OLE’)
For reactors that are loaded primarily with a single layer of catalyst, TubeMaster, Inc.’s Outage Loading Equipment™ (OLE’) allows clients to load faster, with better uniformity of packing density between tubes, without the need to vacuum some of the catalyst out of each tube to obtain a desired outage and use the same device to verify each tube has the proper outage.

OLE’ is the world’s first sleeve loading technology to incorporate three devices into one device. OLE’, pronounced O-lAy, acts as an opening in a template, a loading sleeve and outage gage combined into one simple to use time and cost saving device. OLE’ incorporates a flange, opening, sleeve and gage.

Flange Design
OLE’s design uses a flange based on client specific reactor design dimensions. The flange holds the entire device in its respective tube. OLE’ is uniquely designed to both accommodate larger amounts of dust, as is increasingly common especially with some recent high selectivity catalysts in use today, as well as
to create a virtually solid and continuous surface, accommodating very
little dust at all. TubeMaster Inc.’s OLE’ flange can be sized for any condition of dust from extremely dusty to virtually dust-free.

Opening
The opening in the flange is carefully sized for the catalyst to be loaded and confirmed based upon testing, preferably in advance in our lab. The opening ensures proper loading is achieved every time
with an appropriate
consideration of loading
speed and loading
quality.

Loading Sleeve
A sleeve is secured to the
flange and extends into the tube to be loaded. The length of the sleeve is adjusted based on the client specific outage requirement so that when it is removed the proper outage remains. NO vacuuming is required. This saves having to buy extra catalyst that must be screened for reuse or discarded for recycling.

Outage Gage
Each sleeve has an outage gage incorporated into it so that after a sleeve has been extracted it can be used to
confirm the actual outage that remains. Use of the OLE’ outage gage feature eliminates a separate time consuming step
to verify outages while improving quality as well.

Thermocouple Loading and Testing
TubeMaster, Inc. also has developed a Thermocouple Loading and Testing technology to load thermocouple-equipped tubes, 100% correctly, the first time.
This technology verifies that loading is proper at each step of
thermocouple loading. With an unsurpassed success rate to date,
you can now load thermocouples correctly the very first time!
